Dr. Ellie,
I am 30 and am starting to see white spots and streaks on my teeth. I have tried the internet and I can't find anything on this happening as an adult. I started seeing them about a year ago. Is this dental fluorosis? What would cause it to show up now?

As I mentioned in another post, I had noticed some wired, confetti-like white spots on my face. I don't know where they came from or what they are from.
I kind... place, the nice lady who was doing the threading mentioned the spots on my face. I didn't wear makeup since I knew I'd be getting my eyebrows done.

cause of the white spots can be dry mouth (as result of the PH etc etc).
For your further information my daughter between the age 2-6 years old often had problem with ear infection. She sleeps with her mouth open -could this cause the white spot?

Thanks for your reply. I just went to my health food store & bought some granular xylitol. I am 'eating' 2 teaspoons a day for 8 grams. I try to spread them out as much as I can, but sometimes during the week [like at school] it's hard for me to get any during the day. So then I'll just eat the 2 teaspoons at night. Do you think ...
