I ran my 5-mile rest run on the Distribution canal road this morning. I left at 8:30 and after two miles realized I should have carried water; I was dehydrated by the time I got home. From the HIMMS Convention this year, my friend Nick over at EMR update found a keyboard that can be immersed in water and still keep going. When you are done, load it up... at the website. I was surprised to see even a wireless keyboard that will work under water at the site. BD

Goucher joins nine-time Olympic gold medalist... will be participating in the April 18 events, which include several 6K run/walks--the average distance women and children travel daily to fetch water--and concerts and water education activities

Today was race number 3 of the Austin Distance Challenge, the 10 mile Run for the Water. Proceeds from the run go to The Gazelle Foundation, which funds projects for clean drinking water in Burundi Africa. Gilbert's (founder of The Gazelle Foundation) story is pretty amazing.
