The long-awaited alternative to Coumadin (warfarin) has just been approved by the US FDA. The FDA just approved Pradaxa (dabigatran) for use by those with atrial fibrillation for preventing afib-related strokes.

So, How to take warfarin?
The dose, will be decided by your doctor, and might be changed from time to time depending on your INR. My advice on this one: Stick to the dose the doctor prescribed you!
Let's say your dose of warfarin is 2mg, then you should take 2mg of warfarin (one 2mg tablet) everyday at the same time.
