I finally had my Vitamin D level checked and to my surprise, I am severely deficient in Vitamin D. The reference range for Vitamin D in the body is 32 – 100. Hell, my... deficiency. I think of this almost every day now when I see the sun go down so early----winter increases the risk of Vitamin D deficiency, not only because the days are shorter, but also because the sun when it is out is not as strong, and we tend to spend more time indoors in the colder weather.
