I was surprised to learn that China is one of the largest exporters of many common drugs and vitamins. About 90% of all VitaminC sold in the US is from China. China also produce 50% of the world's asprin and 35% of acetaminophen (Tylenol) as well as most Vitamins A, B12 and E.

is a buffered (Ph neutral) form called Ascorbates where VitC is bound to different minerals where the acidity of ascorbicacid is made more neutral. Something like this. This makes the VitaminC more tolerable to the GI. Some studies have shown that increased amounts of VitC have little effect on different diseases. There certainly is no lack of controversy

When it comes to hormones and neurotransmitters VitC is often forgotten. A good regular dose of VitaminC is needed for the conversion of Phenylalanine to Tyrosine
