What do teenagers who received a cochlear implant when younger think about their parent's decision to go ahead with the surgery?

Entire Deaf Family Recieves Cochlear Implants - Video

This ABC News report focuses on an entire family that has recently recieved cochlear implants.
The mother and father were born deaf and were implanted in thier 40... me in awe.
We have not seen any reaction from Drew when wearing his hearing aids, so we are increasingly hopeful that he will benefit from a cochlear implant.

spectacular considering he is deaf.
Lance has had around a 75% loss of hearing since birth, but now has (bilateral?) cochlear implants. In one article he described his implants... playing basketball. Anyone who's played knows what that's like!
I'm not clear on whether Lance has one implant or two. I'll try to keep an eye out for him during the next few

19-year-old Ross Grant has made history by becoming the first deaf person to win the Duke of Edinburgh leadership award. Prince Phillip will present the award to him at St James’ Palace in London.
Ross had a cochlear implant 11 years ago and attended the Mary Hare School for deaf children in Berkshire, which was where he started the Duke
