Update on Vinorelbine Side Effects

After my Vinorelbine infusion on Friday, I had the regular side effects … a bit of nausea and the chills and a bit agitated. I also think this chemo makes me more... digging sounded so loud I had to throw a pillow over my head to muffle the sound.

This latest chemo treatment - or should I say the latest side effects - really took me by surprise. The weekend was pretty standard. I had my chemo infusions on Wed/Thurs... by is the idea of putting additional chemicals into my body - to counter the effects of previously administered chemicals. As I mentioned before, the "honeymoon's over." Ron is now experiencing the following side effects from Xeloda and Avastin
Hand and Foot Syndrome
Raspy Voice
Chemo Brain (Brain Fog)
Headaches- severe enough to wake him up at night
These side effects are worth it, though. Ron's latest CAT scan shows that the tumors are shrinking

Ron is begining to experience some familiar side effects of Xeloda: Hand and Foot Syndrome, Neuropathy, Nausea, and Fatigue. Luckily, they are still mild and easy to manage... some things for you that you usually do.
Be sure to keep your clinical team informed about your side effects and any difficulties you encounter in managing them.
