Oh, man, if I had a $1 for every time I have been asked this question ----- check out this article from HealBlog.net-----and for the record, my last TSHlevel was .155.......I'm a happy camper!

Hey, I am a 41 yr old female with a past history of ovarian and uterine cancer. I just had a check up and my tsh was 0.006, and recently I found a lump as wide as my 3 fingers above my collar bone, i am really worried that my cancer has returned. See my dr in the morning for the lump, and see the new endo on the 15th. Help! worried! scared!

As promised, my TSH results. You can see that my last one was taken on 6/13/08. My TSH is .7. What's interesting to note here is the unsteadiness of my levels. I..., but that could be because of my thyroid levels right now. I do have some hyperthyroid symptoms. I think I lose way more than the 100 strands they say a normal person would.

advocated a preconception TSH (thyroidstimulatinghormone--common test of thyroid function) of less that 2 (5 is considered "normal"). I usually feel best a 1.5 or below, so this was great news. But I remember one of my HARVARD endocrinologists yelling at me, saying I was going to have heart problems, etc, and refusing to let my TSH get lower than 5...while

i had thyroid cancer back im 2006. since then it has been a battle to get my TSH under control. Ive been trying hard to lose weight lately but its been a real struggle.
