I came along an amazing website for tropical medicine. The Tropical Medicine Central Resource associated with the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences has a very detailed registry of tropical medicine diseases that includes life cycle basics, geography, diagnostics and images, epidemiology and clincal descriptions.

Another person at work gave me a flier for a very interesting conference, coming up, that I thought I would share. TropicalMedicine101.com is putting on a conference in Februrary 3-9 2008, located in Guatemala. The conference is geared to educate the primary care physician about travel and tropical medicine.

Conference by the International Society of Travel Medicine, The Asia/Pacific Travel Health Conference and the 17th annual Australasian College of Tropical Medicine meeting. Sounds like it should be very informative!

I see the specialities of travel and tropical medicine overlap. I also see how wilderness and rural/remote medicine overlap. I feel that in order to practice the unique... medicine, I send them here, first.
