The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services (CMS) have, as of March 2008, approved at-home sleep testing for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Previous policy had mandated... testing and treatment of sleep apnea. We anticipate that as coverage continues expanding, we will be able to focus on getting more patients tested quickly and comfortably

One of the most common exam findings that I see in people with sleep apnea is what’s called tongue scalloping. This is where you see ridges, or a scalloping pattern along... also swells slightly and because sleep apnea patients have small jaws by definition, the teeth press into the sides of the tongue, leaving indentation marks.
