What's an 'atypical pituitary adenoma'?

We recently had a case at our institution of an atypical pituitary adenoma, confirmed by BerndScheithauer at the Mayo Clinic. What is implied by the designation of a pituitary adenoma as being “atypical”? Burger, Scheithauer, and Vogel -- in their textbook Surgical Pathology of the Nervous System and Its Coverings by (4 th Edition, 2002), page 469

Aspirin and adenomas.

attacks. I don't see how an aspirin can stop adenomas from forming considering the reason why they are showing up is because the APC gene is screwed up. Remembering what I heard, went through and just all the other information, I'm not sold at all that an aspirin will stop adenomas from forming. I hope that when people read about this they don't think

and not functioning up to par? Also I am assuming that Dexamethasone produces a metabolite different from those produced from endogenous cortisol in urine, right? (otherwise the test wouldn’t be interpretable)
A. Great questions. Regarding the high vs. low dose dexamethasone and pituitary adenomas: the cells in the adenoma are neoplastic. Benign, but still neoplastic

if they even tested it) in my forearm. Just let me say- an adenoma is a benign TUMOR okay? So they took out two bad parathyroid, left one good one in, and the proceeded to chop up.... I am going to have the doctors here take it out of my arm hopefully VERY soon then what will happen is one of two things. One- it will just test as an adenoma, it will be out

We started the week with a load of tests for Drew. These are tests that Dr. Bradstreet ordered. We collected two urine samples, one stool, and we'll be going on Thur do to another blood draw. He had to come off his vitamins and minerals for these tests; and oddly, he also had to come off of pears (along with a few other fruits). We are becomming old
