I felt like this post was probably needed (at least I needed it) again. I have enjoyed all the food this holiday, but boy am I ready for a good week or so of temple foods

Before heading to Brandon's baseball game we visited the Hsi Lai Temple in Rowland Heights. It's an amazing place with traditional styles and architecture of ancient Chinese monasteries. My brother got married last weekend at the LDS temple in Richland, WA, and of course I took some pictures of the flowers and landscaping around the temple. The roses... was fascinated with the evening light filtering through these hardy geraniums. They looked magical.

Sura Das gave last Sunday Feast's lecture at the temple. He spoke about the meaning of kirtan , bhakti and was very candid about his recent stint in the hospital. I managed to obtain a copy of the new CD , Temple Bhajan Band Live, after the lecture.

As part of the TAFE course that I’m doing, we went to the Nan Tien temple to take some photos. I’ve been to the temple before but I found that this time, I was looking... there today so I could take some more photos and so we could take a walk up to the Gratitude bell…..
