A woman I know lost her upper teeth to periodontal disease and now wears a complete upper denture. She's worried that she can't... have almost 10,000 tastebuds inside our mouths. When we talk about taste, I’m reminded of the rock star Michael Hutchence (of INXS fame) who lost his taste (read: no or damaged tastebuds... around the world, but with no taste… it wouldn’t matter whether he ate sandpaper or did the whole caviar and wine thing!

Maybe its myvastlyimproved mood, but everything that I have eaten today tastes so much better than usual. It's almost as if my tastebuds appreciate theflavorandtextureof the foods much more. Maybe my tastebuds are justen fuegotoday?! All I know is that my mouth, stomach, and brain (mind) are extremely content.
