The point of this lane was not to point out my personal speed in terms of the elite swimming world... on the block. 1. Freestyle Volume
The best way to improve speed, endurance and form in the beginning of swim training is volume. If you aren’t swimming, you aren... to have a more complete kick in order to reduce resistance from swimming with flippers. They can improve kick strength, ankle flexibility, body position and increase speed

to have a partner who is
1) Reliable
2) Swims the same speed as I do
3) Eager to swim in open water

I think I'm swimming in my sleep now. The little sleep I'm getting, that is. Last night's training swim took me an hour and 20 minutes to complete. Back and forth and back and forth and back and repeat. This morning in our coach's weekly email we were told that we should register for the 1 mile swim at the Aqua Challenge at Lake Del Valle

Today I got up and went to the gym to begin my new swim routine.
I picked up a great new bathing suit at TJ Maxx the other day. A Nike for just $20! It worked perfectly. I did half an hour.

We roll merrily along as usual. Micah's birthday party has morphed - I got him to narrow his list to about 11 other kids, and I found a decently affordable magician, so we are having it at home. If he really really wants a pinata, it'll be out in the driveway, hanging from the bedroom window. No more dents in my walls, please.

So you want to be a dolphin. Or perhaps you want to be a competitive swimmer. Or maybe you just want to swim faster.
Unless you are really lucky (or would that be unlucky?) you probably weren’t born with webbed feet or toes, so you will have to look at other ways to increase your speed in the water.

enough swim 'finesse' to know the difference. I used to have ONE running speed too, but after much work that is changing!
Cry for helpMy shoulders are HURTING! I'm hoping... had us do some swimming without doing the LONG GLIDE. He basically had us swim in the way that EVERY coach has told me to NOT do. The way I used to swim, but w/ more rotation

about the basic swim stroke.
Second, she explained swim speed so simply that a light went on in my head.
And I'm not talking about the 25 Watt bulb like you see below.
I'm... principles are used by all the top swimmers in the world....period.
I swam some 100's and 200's just to see what would happen. Nothing long that would damage me or change my swimming
