for an open water swim. So, I'm 2 1/2 laps into my 4 lap swim and I came face to face with a random swimmer. It's fairly common to run into other swimmers. There is a major blind spot... bathing suits and some new tri shorts. Neiman Marcus sucks.
Wednesday: Very Hilly "Super-Secret" Run of about 7.5 miles
Thursday: 1 Mile Swim at Barton Springs followed by a 4

was in the water.
After the swim I hit the road for a 3.5 mile loop. The weather was in the upper 40s with a windchill somewhere in the 30s so it was a bit colder than yesterday's run. Luckily I had planned ahead and was warm enough to complete the route without frost bite.
I plan on doing more of these swim/run bricks on the weekends. They are less taxing

If at all possible, I'm not going to skip 4 days of running again! I felt like crap on my little run over to the pool.
An easy 1500 in the pool including 400 with the band only. Not too bad.
Tomorrow morning is the ATC saturday ride, a nice swim, and a transition run with strides.
I've been nursing some sore ribs since before Richard's

Hit the pool with Pain this morning. Good lord I am out of swimming shape. Pain will fix me or kill me trying.
After work I run for 60 mins. I forgot 2 of my snacks today because i was wicked busy at work. I paid the price during the run. Light headed after 30 mins. I knew it was nutritional so I just kept going knowing it wasn't going to kill me

Swim/Run Brick
Hit T3 Swim class this morning at 5:45am for a brutal/slow 2800m workout. Like yesterday, my form felt haggard and sloppy. Coach insists my form..., but we'll see how it all transgresses as time passes.
On tap for Wednesday...Gazelle AM running workout, 1 hour bike ride, core class
On Thursday, I'll hit T3 Swim class

In order to get a couple of thoughts "out there" this afternoon, I am combining topics. First and foremost, Colin swims in his first HIGH SCHOOL swim meet this evening. Yes, that rug rat has grown a bit and aged a few years to become a full fledged freshman in high school - at Lincoln High School to be exact. Tonight he swims two of his

I’ve had my best training week in ages and my body feels great (knock on wood, cross fingers, find rabbit’s foot).
It was a 15-mile week, ending with 8 x 400 yesterday (1:42-1:56 range) and a 3.71 miler this morning at 8:51 pace. This is the final week of No Boundaries training.
Another milestone: I actually did swim workouts. Wednesday was 8 x

feel it.
Today was a morning in which I was not up before the sun to run or bike or swim. I slept 'in' until around 6am. It felt great to wake up that late and know that I.... My session today consisted of a 2050 yard swim followed by an 8 mile run.
My swim was a 150 yard warm-up, followed by 3x100 drills that included catch-up, RT, LT and kicks
