Back to Swimming Class by Crystal M. Posted Sat 27 Feb 2010 12:23pm Last week friday Eva went back to swimming class, she has not been there in over 6 months but everyone remembered her as soon as we walked in the door. Then yesterday I had her walk into class and they were so excited to see her walking for the 1st time. Eva even got the same teacher she had last time and she was so happy to take her back Read on »
Week 1 of the performance swim class! by Bre Facebook Posted Wed 07 Apr 2010 12:00am So I did it! Both days! I got up early - and was at the gym 45 minutes from my house at 6AM for the swim class! The first day I got so many pointers and for the first time swam for a whole hour (not including time clinging to the side catching my breath!) On Wednesday I went back for more and the instructor didn't show, but there was a lady Read on »
Special Needs Swim Class by Kodi Wilson Facebook Posted Fri 11 Sep 2009 4:59pm Here are some pics from our first swim class. This is a class for special needs kids, and our first class was last Saturday. Of course the Heckert's are in the class with us, so we look forward to posting more pictures in the weeks to come. Braden is a chunky-monkey, as you know - and his whole body floats if you just hold his head. If we have Read on »

Cousin Paxton is SO very excited to go swimming Read on »
Dear Mommy in Swim Class, by Leah K. Patient Expert Posted Tue 23 Dec 2008 9:17pm I understand that to you, your child is the cutest child on the planet. And I do have to admit, he was pretty cute, but what is not cute is the fact that he kept spitting water at all the kids. Now he is only 1 1/2 years old so maybe he didn't know any better. But you sure as hell did. Repeat after me "Son, you are not allowed to spit water". ... Read on »
Week 8: Swim Class by Tri to Be Funny Patient Expert Posted Fri 17 Apr 2009 12:31am Thursday: Nothing really new to report on the Swim front. Still no real "breakthroughs" on times or training even though I continue to tweak my form to what I think is correct. My next strategy is to actually attend a workout where I'm observing from the pool deck and watching swimmers from above. I think it will help me visualize the good Read on »
Felt great after swim class last ... by Tri to Be Funny Patient Expert Posted Fri 17 Apr 2009 12:31am Felt great after swim class last night! It was a good solid workout...Form getting better, breathing getting easier, I'm getting more distance per stroke. I was averaging 2... of my 1/2 mile swims during races have been in the 20 minute range. Positive feedback from the coaches also seems to be helping. Whether or not I'm actually improving doesn't Read on »

Week 3: Swim Class and Moments of Gratitude by Tri to Be Funny Patient Expert Posted Fri 17 Apr 2009 12:31am Today was a pretty tough swim workout (aren't they all for me???) The hardest part was just getting to the pool today. I was really freaking tired this morning for some reason even though I had slept soundly the night before. Our workout today was a ladder-style. 100, 200, 300,(all with paddles) 400 at 80%, 300 at 85%, 200 at 90%, 100 at 95 Read on »
