For children younger than age 4, talk to a pediatrician who knows your child about whether swimming lessons are safe and a good idea.
Always supervise children when they're near any water -- including the bathtub.
When your child is swimming, make sure he or she wears an approved life vest. Choose one for young

and something I wander about? Is it uneducation or what, but why do more mothers not care about what they put in their children’s mouth? HotDogs, McDonald’s, fried food etc. We all know it is bad why do we give it to them. We wouldn’t let them swim with out a life jacket why would we not give them the education on food that makes them healthy and not sick

to do some bonding with their grandmother.
So, off we go armed with buckets, a plastic spade, swimming floats and a mat to sit on. The kids all ready in their swimming suits... and they have a swimming pool. Today I got up and went to the gym to begin my new swim routine.
I picked up a great new bathing suit at TJ Maxx the other day. A Nike for just $20! It worked perfectly. I did half an hour.
I forgot how much I love to swim, and can you believe it is a great calorie burner? Not only that but after the brutality of running on my ankles, legs

Does anyone else's kids do this when they don't want to hear their siblings? My kids are constantly sporting dangling coils these days as the cabin fever sets in. Can't we all just get along?
Pool fun w/cousin Kendall
This is when the hearing child is the minority!! Had a fun day swimming in the pool with the kids.

was fairly strong from the Southeast. Here's some video Cathi took of the swim and what the kids did while their Dad was swimming.
The kids caught a couple of crawfish and Jacob... the channel and how cold the water might be and figured it would be a good training swim to go to the other side and back. I figured it would be a little less than a mile to the other
