Discharged

I was discharged from the hospital early this afternoon and it's definitely nice to be home. I am experiencing significantly less pain when I inhale and not as short of breath as I was. So, my doctor discharged me with a prescription for Lovenox which I am to inject abdominally twice a day every twelve hours until I am directed otherwise. It will l ...

The Discharge

So, here's a basic rundown of yesterday... We originally expected that Tricia would be discharged early afternoon (as she usually is) between her meds so that she would have time to get home for her next meds. Monday evening, we were told that she would be discharged around 10:30am on Tuesday, in part because there were two video cameras who want ...

Vivi is free, sort of. We were discharged today, still on isolation. I initially had a hissy fit that was an extreme overreaction to a minor inconvenience. Fortunately, I quickly realized this, apologized and requested assistance to correct the situation. So now Vivi, Justin and I are snuggled up in an isolation room at the Memphis Grizzlies Ho ...

Recognizing that the Iraq War was an illegal war no matter what the rah-rah traditional media said, Watada followed his conscience. He’s now been vindicated by the court, if not by [...]

Discharge Instructions?

Dr. Ed L.
Our department has a templated system of discharge instructions. Some are quite excellent, and cover the gamut from chest pain to fractures, Anthrax (believe it or not) to dog bite. However, there are always some that we lack. I often have to type instructions for the ones not pre-programmed in our computer system. Because we don’t have all ...

Maybe discharged today
by

A doc came in early to examine. She seems to think it is still likely that they remove the second chest tube today. If that happens, I could possibly go home today.Had a rough night with severe pain from constipation & gas. My entire midsection really hurt big time. The RNs gave me meds, walked me around the floor and gave me an enema. Finally ...

Possible discharge date :)
by
Stephanie
I hope I am not getting ahead of myself, but I think we possibly have a discharge date. Kamryn has done such an amazing job coming off the meds and should continue to do so given the low dose she is now on. Today she had .07 per kg of methadone at 5:00pm. Tomorrow, they will give her the same dose and then on Saturday, give her one dose of .035 pe ...
