I don’t really pay attention to what foods are in season by the calendar. Most of the time I’m informed by what’s available at the local farmer’s markets. If it’s there I know it’s “ready”. But last week all the strawberry stands around town alerted me to the fact that Strawberries are ripe and ready for the eatin’!

Yes, I did mentioned that strawberries pretty much grow year around here in Costa Rica, but they are at their peak time right now. Thankfully, I found a source of organic strawberries because they are listed on the Dirty Dozen. I've been buying 2 kilos every week now and storing them away
