A mile by mile account of my experience in the Memphis Marathon.
5:15am: I wake up. Get dressed, eat a bowl of cheerios with some honey and milk.
7:07am: Ride downtown.... A St. Jude patient, a little boy, was on the sidelines cheering us on. You can sign up to run as a “St. Jude Hero” and you end up raising money for St. Jude and they supply you

The St. Jude Marathon is today and Vivi and I are watching from her window in the Patient Care Center. We are cheering and encouraging on Team Ethan. Ethan, in Heaven, is so close to our hearts because he bore a similar burden to Vivienne - being diagnosed at the sweet, tender age of only 2 months old.

The Country Music Marathon was hands down the hardest race I have ever run. I worked incredibly hard during the training for the race, and I had high expectations. This race taught me that sometimes, you just have to throw your expectations out the window, and just finish what you started.

So, last weekend was great just Gabe and I drove to Ikea and found the great new table, had lunch, browsed Baby Gap and Pea In a Pod, and bought a twins book at Barnes and Noble.
Sunday we put the table together and LOVED it. Sunday night Memphis took a bite out of the corner of the TABLE. The yelling at that point was not pretty

Thursday: AM: 4miles easy, abs /PM: 10min w/u, circuit for 25min
Friday: AM: 8.2 miles with Micah (7:20-30 pace)
Saturday: 13 miles in 90 min
30 min at 7:30-7:00 pace
5min... wanted to get my 16 miles in.
I did hit a major milestone, 13 miles was the longest treadmill run I have ever done to date. It went by so quickly that I really don't even feel

After an amazing night of sleep, I woke up at quarter until 7 this morning ready to attack my 13 mile training run!
Breakfast
I enjoyed an Arnold Sandwich Thin... COMBINATION BEFORE A LONG RUN!
I knew that I’d need more than just water to get through 13 miles so I used a sample I received from one of my recent races.
