Hey guys, here is Wednesday's speedsquat workout. Use speed work if you want to improve explosiveness and/or technique in a specific lift. I am preparing for a powerlifting meet so improving speed in the squat, bench and deadlift is a must!
Speed Box Squat 10 x 2 x 55-65% raw 1 rep max
Speed Sumo Deadlift 10 x 1 x 55-65% raw 1 rep max

Mobility Drills
Dynamic Warm-Up (reverse lunge with twist, side lunge, inch worm, Russian twist, t-push-up)
Glute Work with a set of push-ups between each drill (bridge, bird dog, single leg bridge, clam shell)
Kettlebell Windmills 2 x 5 per side

SpeedSquat 8 x 2 @60% max raw weight

Here is the workout we did today to build our speed and improve our technique in the squat and the deadlift.
Speed Box Squat 8 x 2 at 60% of max, straight weight (no bands or chains today)
Speed Deadlift 10 x 1 at 60% of max
Stiff Legged Deadlift 3 x 6-10
Standing Cable Crunch 3 x 6-10

recommend you incorporate this type of exercise. I makes me feel great!
In the afternoon I met with the powerlifting team and we did a speedsquat workout.
SpeedSquat 8 x 2... deadlifting after speed work is not something you should do all the time if you max out on a squat/deadlift move later in the week. Just throw it in now and then when your deadlift
