According to this article over at Psycentral, a new study shows that therapy is more effective than medication in the treatment of childhood socialphobia. I was browsing through the apps on iTunes and found an app titled Beat SocialPhobia with Andrew Johnson. It's a guided audio program that's supposed to help you overcome your social anxiety. I don't think I'll be downloading it because I have enough guided meditation audio stored on my computer. I just thought it was cool that there's an app

with socialphobia (and, as a bonus feature, Hyperhidrosis ) can share experiences, make new friends and discuss their problems. The posts vary from journals to discussions about music to a diverse list of "miracle cures" for socialphobia. There are obvious benefits to a site like this, but I am going to address the downsides.

I have agoraphobia. I would say a day... in recovery for 6 years. I’ll never be a social butterfly, but I have a few good friends and I enjoy some things outside my home.

with strangers. I'm this way in a grocery store, a gas station, wherever. Maybe it's not related to my weight just a separate socialphobia I don't know for sure. I'll have to talk about... myself up all day about this and maybe several days from here on. I just don't understand myself. My social anxiety is so irrational. It makes no sense to me. I'm thinner now
