We have a saying here: if there is a high over New England and a Low in Atlantait is time to go to the Grocery Store. A Big Storm around here is six inches of snow. Twelve inches is Snowmageddon. KillStorm 2010 was about 15 inches hereabout 20 down by my mom. So normallytomorrow's storm would have caused raging panic. But on the heels

I guess I am not tired of snow days yet, because I wasn't here for MLK weekend, and my kids keep themselves amused (television, movies, computers, books, and toys galore), and I have plenty to do in "free" time, or I just love being lazy. I DO like not having to drive anywhere or put in my contact lenses.
It's been a busy week and a half since my

I was starting to feel really guilty after reading so many other post and seeing pictures of kids playing out in the snow. We had not taken Ben out yet. So today my goal was to get this little guy out to play in the snow before it all melts! It was warm yesterday and is supposed to get up to the mid 40's today so the snow will be going fast. Here

Piper has been nuts wanting to be outside in the snow today. She went on an errand with Steve last night while it was snowing (they went to find a new movie to watch since Steve was going to freak out if he had to watch "Nemo" one more time this week). She was in awe that "bubbles" were falling from the sky!

In case you couldn't tell here , here , and here , I am not a fan of the snow. UG What a pain this winter has been. Once a week we get 5-10 inches of snow at least. All... front yard. It is beyond full of snow.
Our neighbor's front yard. I can't even reach the top of the mound.
Our neighbor's backyard. The snow is spilling over

Early in the winter, there are conditions that can create huge amounts of snow in the Green Mountains of Vermont. If the fall is warm (which it was this year... is our benefactor of the moment) becomes snow in the Green Mountains.
Right now, conditions are perfect for this type of snow and the mountains are getting pounded by snowRead on »

We FINALLY got snow - yippee!!!! I think we got between 9 and 10 inches - so for Richmond, that's a lot! My girlfriend said she heard on the news the last 'big' (I'm from NY so I use that term extremely loosely!) snow we got was a whopping four inches in 1995! It was so nice watching it fall yesterday and it really was beautiful to look at today

I know it is not going to snow.
Yesterday, I was at the gym and cousin K said- "look at the tv, we are supposed to get like 9 inches on Monday" and as usual my hopes got up that I potentially would have a snow day. Now let me add, I have been accustomed to the "Maryland snowday" in which just a forcast of snow gives us at least a day off. Being

For many of us on the East coast, the snow has been hitting us hard this Winter. Why not take advantage and get outdoors for some great sensory motor experiences

14 inches so far and it's still snowing! I don't think I have to say how excited Zach is!!! When we woke up this morning it looked so beautiful and peaceful outside... for him just as he was already heading out the door. They had so much fun falling, making snow angels and eating (yes eating!) the snow...
Aaron and Abby's dad
