A 68 yo female with a history of HTN on metoprolol and of paroxysmal atrial fib presented with weakness. This is her ECG.

Before we discuss using nasal sinus rinses with saline solution, I think it would better to review the anatomy and physiology of the nose and sinuses. I'm going to try... is irritated, we call this rhinitis. If the cause is from allergies, we call this allergic rhinitis. The sinuses are bony caves branching off from the nose. Here is a good review

Thanks to the cyst, I have one of the worst sinus infections ever. It sucks. It was so bad, I actually called out of work on Friday. I'm taking methylprednisone and levequin to help with it. It's much better than Friday, but I still have a killer sinus headache.
