OK, this post is going to be an extremely short one, since I'm really busy, due to the holidays & various business-related projects/events:
Ran my solo run first... compared to the cold & windy 29-45+ degree weather we had over the last few weeks!
Then around 6:20 pm or so, my running pal & I ran Run 1 of Week 3 ( CT5K ) which went really

Vote for me, vote for me!!!!
I've been having a little fun with my Twitter pals with the ongoing battle of the sexes. First Nigel started the Bad Boys of Running blog, with the Twitter girls, Nik, Maddy, and I, quickly following suit with our own Bad Girls of Running website. Then one evening last week, I noticed that the boys were looking for logo

Erik & I went for a run in an old favorite location around 11 am today. He ran for about 30 minutes total & I ran, as scheduled, for 35 minutes total. We ran around... not be said for my run. It was yet another slow, perfunctory run, as I was once again -- surprise, surprise! -- feeling tired & low-energy. (I just bought huge bottles of iron & B

We had a great time yesterday at the Nashville Zoo Run! I was really dreading the cold, but it wasn't too bad. It helped not having any wind which was nice. In fact about... should have done was write on the back, "This is my husband's jacket." I'm sure people were thinking, "How did this chick ever run the Boston Marathon? She's so slow". Ha

. I am running not only for health reasons but more importantly for nine million children in UNHCR refugee camps around the world. For every step taken today Nike will donate funds to the runner's charity of choice. I chose ninemillion.org but others are also running for Livestrong and the WWF .
Could there possibly be a better reason to head out

This weekend was the run. THE run. The Wasatch Back. The Ragnar. You can call it whatever gets your heart pounding, it all boils down to 12 team members. 188 miles. Two days. Run. Eat. Rest. Repeat.
The entire experience is part silly, part sublime. And every step is pure therapy. Sleeping in the cab of a truck, eating spaghetti off

I was supposed to run 40 minutes at a moderate pace for today's solo run. Well, instead, due to my own procrastination via blogging, I managed to only have time to fit in a "fast" 33+ minutes.
I had a very hurried/rushed run, as I'd bolted out the door at 5:36 pm & was supposed to meet my friend only 24 minutes later for our joint runRead on »

felt like on the treadmill, because more than likely, we'll be doing more indoor workouts until the program ends in January. While I'm going to encourage her to run outdoors... this by saying that I don't have a problem anymore with running in the rain, as I now happen to own a Gortex warm-up suit, thanks to my mother's generous donation to the cause! stick with it!
Switch it up. The only way I can keep up with my fitness routine is with variety. Many mornings Josh and I run, but also, in the afternoons, we take classes... run outside, do a workout video in my house, or take a long walk...anything to stay active.
Stay Active. The gym isn't the only place for a workout. You can exercise anywhere
