1) boring you
2) no longer challenging you
And, while boredom is one thing, if your running routine is no longer... things up but to make your routines harder, so your body can respond and grow in the direction you want.

Remember my summertime look at my morning routine? Winter is not quite the same. I sleep in most of my running gear-- tights, tops (it was 17 degrees and felt like 4 this morning--NYC winter morning runs require at least two top layers), socks and watch, and also have a programmable coffeemaker that I set to start brewing 10 minutes before I wake up

Running Clinic: 5-Mile Track Workout

Went to our running clinic's 2nd week of track workout tonight. Did 1 mi warm-up, followed by 8x400 (at threshold pace), with each 400 of speed work followed by a recovery lap (another 8x400). So all in all, I did 5 mi. :)
Today I noticed that I was running a lot faster than my assigned pace group (10:30), without really intending to do so

When I first started running, I’d always end my week with my long run, then take the next day off. This worked fine, but a few years back I started experimenting with a shorter, very easy run the day after my long runs. This has been routine ever since because I find I get much more out of it than pure rest.

September 20th.
We have officially started back on a running routine. :-) The both of us along with her good friend Angela, 2 of my clients and 1 of my coworkers are preparing... recently started training these ladies on a running routine to prepare their virgin legs to the idea of keeping them moving for 13.1 miles. :-) Just like Karina I am confident each

I've noticed that if I keep my kids on their routine, there are very few tears, minimal fussiness and no meltdowns. I don't really do a strict schedule or timeline, but I do try to stick to their "routine." I try to get them up around the same time, then fed, then dressed. Baby girl is ready for a nap around 2 hours later and little man is ready
