One of the most memorable parts of both marathons I’ve run has been the music I listened to. Don’t get me wrong, there are MANY parts of Nike I remember vividly. My top 5 clearest memories are:
1. Pre-race Team in Training dinner where I got to meet Joan Benoit Samuelson and The Penguin.
2. Cresting the [...]

To run or not to run with music. That is today's question. And it also happens to be a very hot debate among the serious runners of this world. While some feel as though... to focus. And in the case of my running, said distraction is music because it really, truly keeps me going.
An article from Runner's World magazine confirmed this, saying

So now becomes the time to make the marathon song list and it works out perfect because it gives me something to do at the in-laws this weekend. Lately I have been skipping over too many songs on my little shuffle because I am just so over the music. So I need your

I've never run with music. I'm usually very happy to listen to the wind whistling, my footsteps plodding, my breath gasping. For some reason the TnT buddy runs this season... running on the Iron Horse Trail -- pretty enough, but same ol', same ol'. I have an iPod with the Nike+ contraption on it that gives time and mileage along with music but I've

Are those batteries in your pants or are you just happy to be running?
Actually, dear sir, 'tis neither. Confused? Well, just think of it this way: it is the pants
