Went to our running clinic's 2nd week of trackworkout tonight. Did 1 mi warm-up, followed by 8x400 (at threshold pace), with each 400 of speed work followed by a recovery...% sure what my overall pace was.) I honestly didn't feel very tired after tonight's trackworkout, so either my fitness is improving or I'm not working hard enough!

"Coach I want to get one of your programs but I can not do the running.
Can I ride more to make up for the lack of running?" That is one of the
typical questions I get from athletes with running injuries.
My answer
is that you can still run but do it in the deep end of the pool with a
running vest on.

Quite a few folks have indicated in their comments that they are motivated to get out and walk or jog. Before you start, spend some time reading about walking and/or running... a lot of good suggestions from my 36 years of running, from comments from many runners, and from my reading of the running literature. Walked and jogged a bit in a grade school fun run

I walked and jogged a bit to finish a fun run with my grand daughter. The distance was not quite three miles. My grand daughter stuck with me for about half the distance and then took off on her own and finished quite a ways ahead of me. The weather was nice, and all of the intersections were guarded by parents so it was safe for the kids to do the runRead on »

Last night at fro-yo we debated Roe V. Wade Jogging Versus Running. I guess by Kinesiology rules running means you... was running. Heck, sometimes I felt like I was dying! Especially here:
