This time, I'm hoping to actually RUN the marathon for which I spent the time and money registering. The race in question is the Chicago Marathon, the big one. The one where I'll be running with 45,000 of my best and closest friends. Or at least a half dozen of my best and closest friends, stuck in the middle of 44,994 strangers.

Registrations for Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2009 event have opened. The Delhi Half Marathon is going to be held on Nov 1, 2009, in New Delhi.

A full 30,000 spots for the Marine Corps Marathon filled up in less than two-and-a-half hours of online registration, punctuated with web site crashes and foul language worthy of a pissed-off Marine.

It's official; I'm now registered for my first marathon race. The race is The Gusher Marathon , Beaumont, Texas, on May 1, 2010.
A smaller-city race like this should be a good first marathon for me. It shouldn't be too crowded, and the course is pretty flat. It's just a little late in the season; by May 1, it may be getting pretty warm. ...
