2/11: Quick Legs (Quads) & Abs Workout

finished the following legs and abs workout. I did two exercises for each muscle group (quads and abs) and it went very quickly. You could easily do this workout in less than 20 minutes.
Legs Workout (Quads only)
Barbell Squat: 3 sets x 10 reps, 55#
Lunges on my Step 360 : 3 sets x 10 reps

bicep curls on up turned bosu ball

25 minutes treadmill - intervals
My quads were screaming at the end of this workout!
For dinner I had raw veggies and oat cakes... tummy rumbling. My lentil curry/stew was a welcomed tummy filler. I also had some quinoa, such a good combo!
I had a fab workout in the afternoon
warm up - 15 minutes cross

4 - Wall Sits
Wall sits are amazing an building endurance in the legs. Skiers are often told to do them... aesthetically. Your quadriceps play a key role in protecting your knees and keeping them healthy. So if your having knee problems then stregthening your quads maybe the missing link!

So entire an post dedicated to yesterday’s leg workouts? Um, yep. Here’s why:
Smith squats: 265#. Don’t tell my trainer, but these didn’t feel as hard as I thought... Deadlifts: Not very heavy this time (just 80#), but for one loooong set — 30 reps. At once. No rests.

muscles have become weaker than the inner quad muscle. Two simple exercises done three times a week can rebalance your legs and improve your form. And they don’t require any... lunges, put an elastic band around your ankles and shuffle back and forth about 10 steps. Do a couple sets of each exercise to get a full workout.
