Most recent sputum culture (bonus video) by CFMama Posted Wed 02 Dec 2009 6:56am Dr. A just informed me that although Nathan's most recent sputum culture did not grow pseudomonas aeruginosa, it did grow pseudomonas putida.  Apparently this strain is not as serious as pseudomonas aeruginosa because it does not generally become mucoid.  Nonetheless, to be on the safe side, Dr. A reccommended we treat it with 2 weeks of oral Cipro Read on »

Patient Expert Posted Tue 01 Dec 2009 10:00pm Just a quick update to let you know that Tricia's recent lung issues are due to a pseudomonas infection, a common bacteria that tends to plague many CF patients.
