anyone wiggling or jiggling, I immediately "feel" how painful it would be for me to move that way.
Not a good brain state.
My dad has been ice skating recently to get ready for his yearly turn as ski instructor. I ice skated when I was younger, working my way all the way up to the dreaded Axel, the dreaded camel spin (I still hate that thing

Some not-so-smart idiot got her dates mixed up and didn' t pay $15 in time to purchase a ticket to accompany Kyra' s Girl Scout troop to the Disney on Ice Show. It was a church community related event with friends from the other churches joining us. It was also a toy drive, folks either made

I have been ice skating since I was a little girl. Many people feel it is a sport for young children or only Olympian champions, but it is really a great way to incorporate friends, family, and exercise. Just make sure to bundle up!

week, I managed to survive ice skating today. Granted, I've never had any problem ice skating, but given my track record this week I had the helmet and bubble wrap ready ;)
All in all it was a great weekend of friends, family, food, fun, and football. It doesn't get much better than that!
My nephew and I skating :)

Kat Kat decided she wanted to do something special with each one of the triplets on their own. She took Mack to see the trains at North Park and took Sophie ice skating (Grace gets her trip later). To my surprise, Sophie picked ice skating for her trip. We have never been and I'm not sure how she knows about it but that's what she wanted to do

Last year Kayla tried roller skating for the first time and she loved it.
This year she tried ice skating. Both kids did actually. It wasn't a complete success... this ... ice skating. I love how she finds ways to amaze me with the things I least expected.

This is probably the only picture I have of myself wearing ice skates. The year was 1963 and my dad and Sandland brother were with me outside our home in Aurora, Ontario... old battered skates a while ago and knew it was time to get rid of them for good as I do not see myself venturing out on ice for fun again.
Sandland Brother is with our next

Last week my daughter told us she had been skating at a new rink in Torreon, Mexico. The ice was soft and her skates were dull, but she is a good skater and likely... safely with that support. The older girls were on their own. They are all comfortable in ice skates and rollerblades and would love to skate on the Rideau Canal in Ottawa sometime
