A new vaccine that protects against the sexually transmitted virus which causes cervical cancer and genital warts is now available in Sikeston.
Gardasil, the trade name for the vaccine developed by Merck & Co. for human papilloma virus, or HPV, is the first vaccine specifically designed to prevent a cancer.
