I was listening to a local allergist speak recently that made me totally rethink the Benadryl options I tote around to keep Tyler safe.
He told us if our child has a history of vomiting during an allergic reaction that liquid Benadryl will do them no good during an allergic reaction. (because they will throw it up, of course!) I won't go into detail

have read that benadryl can be a help for anxiety and panic attacks. Has anyone ever taken this for panic attacks? Does benadryl work to stop panic attacks?
Most medications... (Alprazolam). However, benadryl (diphenhydramine) is an over-the-counter antihistamine medicine that may help to reduce your anxiety during a panic attack. http://www.ehow.com

and turning. Finally, I decided to get up and take half an Ativan pill, two Benadryl and I pulled out some earplugs. I slept like a baby for the next five hours. Lovely!
I think this chemo makes me extra allergy sensitive. So for the next couple of days, I took two Benadryl, morning, noon and nite. What a relief that was, my headaches were gone or nearly gone

a week now, I’ve been struggling with really itchy watery eyes … so yesterday I finally pulled out the Benadryl. To be honest, I got relief pretty quick, way better than Visine.
I don’t really like to take medications … even over-the-counter stuff but I’m slowly changing my ways. Benadryl is my buddy.

Look what I found!! These things are great. They are pre-measured doses of Benadryl. It solves that whole "Bendadryl in a baggie" issue. Instead, just pop these little... of Benadryl around.
