It is hard for me to understand why there is still some opposition to cochlear implants when they have proven to be so effective in many patients with hearing loss... had one child whose mother had essentially given the little girl to a relavtive, but would not sign a release for the child to have a cochlear implant. Here you'll watch Brook who happens to be nearly three years younger than Gage but is bilaterally implanted, use the telephone (speaker phone) with ease...
And to show a previous video of Gage using the phone, you'll see he does very well too, but needs assistance. He wears only one device. though it's not captioned, you can see him looking at me
