100 Push-ups Day one, Week one

Well, here goes nothing! Today was our first official day of the 100 push up challenge.

My wife and I both tested out at the 0-5 push up level on the initial test, so that puts us both in group one.

While the push up is an excellent way to measure upper body pushing power, I don't believe that that single test is the ultimate measure of fitness. Fitness is more involved than that; it would require more than one test

Pushups are one of the most basic forms of exercise there is. Soldiers in the Army do so many pushups they have a special name for the pushup position, “the front leaning rest”. Pushups are a part of the military physical fitness test; two minutes to do as many as you can. 75 pushups results in maximum points for most Army age categories. Steve

Close-grip pushups, pushups on stability ball, power pushups, regular pushups, incline pushups, decline pushups, uneven pushups....take your pick! Pushups are one of the all-time best bodyweight exercises.

It's good when Blake is self-sufficient. He wanted a snack, got a bowl out, got a box of vanilla wafers, and poured them into his bowl. On the other hand, he poured the entire box into his bowl.
