I called the Department and spoke to their Human Resources Division. They don't employ occupational therapists, at least not in that job title. There is no Occupational Therapy Department. They have a Recreation Therapy Department, but there are no openings.

The short term positive impact of NYSOTA and AOTA is that quite a few occupational therapy assistant jobs were saved - but I am not so sure if this is a net gain... that even most Occupational Therapists in NY State don't know - is that the NYS Office of the Professions does not directly have disciplinary oversight over occupational therapy
