Choosing the Right Nordic Skis by Dr. John H. Medical Doctor Posted Thu 09 Dec 2010 6:00am , boots, bindings, and poles you'll need. There are many types of nordic skis but for the purposes of my analysis, I'll refer to them by their typical width and edge configuration... track skiing, chose the New Nordic Norm T3 or Salomon Profile 2.  For OTBD choose the New Nordic Norm BC Auto binding 3.  For steep slopes chose the New Nordic Norm BC Magnum Read on »

Bike, ski, sled = Unbeatable New Year's Day! by Bliss Chick Posted Wed 05 Jan 2011 10:05am I live in an amazing place. After a lazy morning of hanging out with the dudes while Hot Husband went skiing, we piled the whole family in the car and got in some great cross-country skiing. Bridger Ski Foundation does an incredible job grooming trails at Bridger Creek Golf Course , which makes nordic skiing a joy. This is only the second time Read on »
50 km Classic ski race 3/15/2008 by Jarral R. Posted Tue 27 Oct 2009 4:30pm kick wax on for the colder temperature also. It was actually kind of good that it was cold with fresh snow because when you used wax on Nordic skis if it is warmer or icy it is hard to get the wax to stick. Classic Nordic skis are cambered so that as you stand on both skis the part in the middle under your foot doesn't actually touch the snow Read on »

The downhill skiing was great however. Then the snow let up and the cold set in the second and third weeks. Scott (traverse partner) and I spent Read on »
Ski, Ski, Ski by dlease Posted Mon 18 Jan 2010 5:54am I just had an amazing stretch of 9 days where I skied 7 days. That's my best stretch of skiing in a few years, and it was a lot of fun, despite the fact that I was fighting...). Then, I took a 2-day clinic where I was the student. We skied at Smugglers' Notch and the snow was amazing. I learned a lot that I intend to use in my teaching for the rest Read on »

How Ski Technology Affects Your Skiing by David Barton Posted Fri 07 Aug 2009 7:17pm I have been hearing many questions lately about ski equipment. Does it make a difference if I use short or long skis? Old or new? What really is the difference in equipment? How much does it really affect my skiing? Although most people think that equipment doesn't really affect performance (and to a certain degree this is true), rapidly Read on »
Ski In, Ski Out, and an In room Kitchen for 200 dollars a night. by Heather W Posted Sun 04 Oct 2009 11:12pm looove skiing, parts of me want to move to a ski area and work as a nurse in a clinic so I could ski my brains out. The other parts which want to act, write, and ride subways seem to win these conflicts. Right now it's 8:00 am and the temp is -8F. (I have skied once in that temp when I was 18 and had much more body fat). I got up early to enjoy Read on »
