With the new year just around the corner many people will be making resolutions. A new year and a fresh start: Isn't it a beautiful thing? I rarely post about my runs, but yesterday’s run seems worthy.
Spending the last several weeks out of town, last night we drove home, arriving to a warm house around 8:30. The day’s hectic schedule kept me from running, the frigid temperatures so unfriendly. But I hated to miss my tradition of running on New Year’s Day.

Talking with a good running friend recently, she told me she’s started her training routine for a September race where she hopes to run a PR. "So what are you going to do differently?” I asked about her training. She wasn’t sure. Then she turned the tables and asked me what I will be doing differently with my training as I prepare for the ...

For the past several years I’ve felt the best way to start a new year was to get up early on January 1 and head out for a run. That seems like a better beginning than a groggy hangover! Usually I just head out to run on my own, but to welcome in 2013 I’m going to enter a couple of races!
On New Years Eve I’m going to run the Resolution Run ...

I did the Resolution 5k today but really ran 8 miles, seems like the more I run the less I want to just run 3.1 miles at a time if I have the time to go further.
I still have not bothered to get more ink for my printer so I took a picture with the computer again.
It was much nicer outside today than it was yesterday even thought the tem ...

It’s the New Year, and honestly if I see one more “new year, new you” article I might heave. If you’re an avid workout enthusiast this might actually be a time of year that you loathe. Your regular gym is filled with New-Year-Resolutioners, and your friends or coworkers are running around exclaiming how hard they are going to work this year on ...
