In 2008 Motrin launched an ad that offended many mothers. It caused a huge anti – ad hum in social media circles and the ad was actually pulled.
The ad basically stated... drugs’s land in your liver, your kidney or destroy your stomach.
I heard that 70% of those on kidney dialysis were from folks who used acetametaphines. 70 % !!!

So, Mia just got over a really bad sinus infection in which she was taking Omnicef and Motrin. Here's our conversation the other night:
Mia: Mom, why are there no green... I'm smart! What was I allergic to?
Me: Penicillen.
Mia: Oh yeah. Do I need to take some grape medicine (Motrin)?

Motrin is an over the counter pain medication that is used by many to relieve pain in the neck... and Johnson recently created an online Motrin ad where they portrayed Mothers having neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain as a result of carrying their children around in various ways

I’m not in marketing as a career, but I do use marketing, and to me this recent ad put out by Motrin seems to attack the very market that they want to buy their product.

Many parents ask whether it is okay to alternate Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Motrin (ibuprofen) when their child has a fever. This concern usually stems from a parent who..., dosed every 6-8 hours. It works better and lasts longer than acetaminophen. And there is really no need or use to alternate two fever reducing medications.
