A Filipino martialart. This martialart emphasizes sword and stick fighting.
Self defense. One of the best martialarts to help you defend against a knife attack.
The best defense. Is a good offense. Eskrima is a defense-through offense based martialart.

Meditation before martialarts training

I am not sure if any of you are involved in martialarts (I currently take Combat Hapkido). I find that in this system - which is primarily self-defense - it is important to spend a bit of time meditating before class in order to be affective and to learn how to channel the Chi energy.
Anyone else in martialarts use meditation???

Al Simon Receives Second Induction into MartialArts Hall of Fame

In August 2008, Al Simon received his second induction into the United States MartialArts Hall of Fame.
This is the second year in a row in which Al was honored by the International MartialArts Headfounders Grandmasters Council.
This year, Al was inducted with the rank of "Founder"for the development of ChiFusion Tai Chi and Qigong.
