Has anyone tried Magnesium to help with anxiety and panic attacks?

I am having a lot of anxiety attacks and a couple of panic attacks. My Dr prescribed zoloft, but what do i do in the mean time, while it is getting in my system. i read about Magnesium, and B6 and B12… has anyone tried these things? What works for you? Please, I need some advice.
Also, i just had a baby four weeks ago. and i am not nursing.
