This is an excellent read. Paul R. Willging was involved in long-term care policy development at the highest levels for more than 20 years but he really learned what it is all about when he to find long term care for his mother.

Long-term care insurance of the past earned a tarnished reputation - at best. Many policies didn't pay for much because of all the loopholes. People thought they were covered in ways that they weren't.
It is a whole new world. You still need to be very aware of what you are buying, but even the government is encouraging people to buy long-term
