Recovery from less invasive single total knee replacement

I have OA of the knees. A surgeon suggested doing 1 knee now. However, I am interviewing for jobs. (I was laid off from my executive job due to the economy). How soon after a single less invasive TKA can I look "normal" (no cane). Looking old is a liability in intervewing for top jobs. I don't want to tell potential employers.
