Does anyone know if ketosis results in weight loss regardless of consumption of calories from fat and protein? It would seem that when in ketosis that the old adage of "calories consumed vs. calories burned" doesn't apply. I'm ultimately trying to figure out whether or not it is really beneficial to count calories while doing low-carb.

Is there any and what guidelines can people following a low-carb diet use to gauge what amount of caffeine intake they can tolerate while still losing weight... there needs to be a summary, possibly a FAQ, on caffeine. Here's my question: What are the effects of caffeine, ESPECIALLY when one is in ketosis?

at a fast rate. And, that's great. However, tomorrow is supposed to be the start of a carb-up in my cycle. And, I hate to knock myself out of ketosis when it is burning fat so well. On the flip side of the coin, it is likely due to my carb cycling that I am in heavy ketosis right now. Not doing a carb up might allow my body to adjust to the small amounts

There seems to be a lot of focus on the state of Ketosis these days. With lots of folks asking the same questions
Am I in Ketosis? How many carbs does it take to get thrown out of Ketosis? What should I do if the Ketostix aren't showing that I'm in Ketosis anymore, even though I'm only eating Induction level of carbs? Is it safe to stay in Ketosis

FYI - This is the morning of the 2nd carb-down day following the 2 day carb-up. My Ketostix show a reading of 15 which means I have a small amount of Ketones in my urine already. This is great! I hadn't expected to find any until tomorrow. It looks like I will get in 4 days of weight loss this week....
