Russian Leader Releases Judo DVD

Vladimir Putin, the Russian prime minister, has released a judo instructional DVD to celebrate his 56th birthday. Putin, who holds a 6th degree black belt in judo, is a longtime health and sports enthusiast who also devotes time to tiger tracking, truck racing and skiing.

A HUGE round of applause for Ronda Rousey, the first American woman to win a medal (bronze) in Judo! While women won in demonstration matches in 1988, Women's Judo didn't... to do everything we can to help her achieve her dream.

Shinjido Judo seminar

On January 17 2010 Shinjido inventor Danny Da Costa will be holding a Shinjido seminar at the High Wycombe Judo Centre in England. The seminar will allow participants to work on the mat with Kosei Inoue (triple world and Olympic champion). Admission fee is £20 for a Senior and £12 for Juniors.
Danny Da Costa is a 6th Dan in Judo and 4th Dan

Yesterday was not only Judo Queen's birthday, but a judo tournament as well.

Lesson 3 of Judo involved an interesting warmup (with lots of plyometric pushups!), front breakfalls, and a couple of new throws.
