Ordinarily, the recommended daily iron intake for a woman my age is 18 mg. I take 225 mg…….on an empty stomach, with vitamin C…..to aid absorption……and still, I’m...!!!!!
……but Helio is still my favorite!
Later that day…..
I went to my oncologist this afternoon to do bloodwork and my “iron numbers” came back at the very bottom of the normal range

Iron deficiency is the most common form of true anemia among athletes.... Iron is mainly stored in haemoglobin(64%) and bone marrow(27%). Iron deficiency anemia is most prevalent among menstruating women and males between the age of 11 and 14.
