An increasingly visible and, to some, attractive option for aging boomers is what is now termed "intentional retirement communities." These are places where some of us, who are aging but not yet ready for retirement housing as such i.e. assisted living, can set up housekeeping and "graduate," if you will, to more care as we (or our partner) need this.

I have been studying intention for many years now and still have a bit of skepticism regarding all of the hoopla about changing your reality by changing your thoughts... that would “show me the money” when it came to demonstrating intention.

avoided goal-setting like the plague and perked up when I walked into a yoga class and was invited to set an intention. The idea of setting an intention seemed softer and less head-focused to me (and therefore, less intimidating). I equate setting an intention with asking heart questions as opposed to head questions: what and why?
