I lost 5 whole pounds yesterday -- that's right, in one day! Can you believe it??? I had the worse case of the flu I think I've ever experienced in my life.

Those are the words I have most regretted saying to myself: I just want to lose five pounds. I don't think one phrase could have changed my life more. I have spend endless hours in therapy analyzing why I wanted to lose those five pounds.

You have a goal to lose a certain amount of weight, but instead of getting down to your goal weight, you lose five pounds and then gain it back. You lose the same five pounds and gain it back. I braved the scales and I am losing the same 5 pounds again.
I have a fill scheduled for next Friday since I have been having trouble with feeling hungry -- real hungry.
Stress level is down but I still am not sleeping.
See the mental health care worker tonight and I am planning on focusing why I hang onto this 5 pounds.

"I'm cutting out dessert so that I can lose 5 pounds..." (and Yes, I am fully aware that I've already been down this no-dessert path...)
