After teaching yoga classes where I hold postures longer than usual my students are surprised that they feel they worked even harder than when we do more of a flow... sore after holding multiple postures in yoga. A good instructor will mix up a class with multiple postures that you hold and or a flowing sequence combining multiple postures

In your 3rd trimester it will benefit you to do yoga postures that will open up your pelvis in preparation for an easier labor. A good posture to do is what I call the “modified squat” (see below).
Modified Squat
*Place your feet approximately 3 1/2 feet apart.
*Place your hands on the floor shoulder width apart and slightly in front of your feet
